GuideTech Ships 100th Femto in 2003
SUNNYVALE, Calif., 11/20/2003 - GuideTech today
announced the 100th Femto 2000 TIA (Time Interval
Analyzer) system has shipped to ASET in Taiwan in
support of volume production for many of their leading-edge
Fabless customers. In 2001, ASET standardized on
the Femto 2000 Time Measurement system to enhance
their installed test capability to make precision
time measurements.
ASET has since become the largest installed-base of Femto 2000 systems
in the world. They exploit the advanced capabilities for direct time
measurements on complex SOC semiconductor devices to test PLL, TMDS,
jitter and other critical timing parameters. "We are very pleased
to see the 100th system installed at ASET. ASET has been a valuable
partner and has contributed greatly in establishing GuideTech as the
premier solution for direct time measurement in production", stated
Jim Ward, Vice President of GuideTech Sales and Marketing.
"The Femto is an integral part of our final test strategy providing
precision time measurement for critical parameters on many of the complex
SOC devices tested by some of our largest customers at ASE. Having
the 100th Femto installed at ASE is fitting given ASE was instrumental
in introducing the first Femtos at our test houses in Silicon Valley",
stated John Chuan, Vice President of Operations at ASET in Kaoshiung,
Taiwan.
About ASE Test
ASE Test Limited is the world's largest independent provider of semiconductor
test services. ASE Test provides customers with a
complete range of semiconductor testing service, including front-end
engineering test, wafer probe, final production test of packaged semiconductors
and other test-related services. For more information, please visit
the company's Website at http://www.aseglobal.com.
About GuideTech
GuideTech is the leading innovator in high-performance
timing measurement instruments, providing semiconductor
manufacturers with the solution they need to minimize
timing-related component failure and to dramatically
reduce production test costs through test-time reduction
and increased ATE lifecycles. Based on patented Continuous
Time Interval Analyzer (CTIA) technology, the company's
Femto family of multi-channel timing test systems
accomplishes this by substantially improving test
throughput via fast measurement rate, increased parallelism
and through critical, high-speed timing test coverage
lacking in ATE systems. Headquartered in Sunnyvale,
CA, and founded in 1988, the company is the first
to deliver cost-effective, advanced timing measurement
solutions that easily integrate onto any ATE platform.
