GuideTech announces Femto 3200

3.2Gbps 32-channel ATE Timing Test System Provides Run-Time Programmable Single-ended and Differential Timing Measurements on Every Channel

SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 28, 2001 - GuideTech, the leading innovator in high-performance time interval analyzer (TIA) instruments, today announced the addition of the 3.2Gbps Femto 3200 to the GuideTech Femto family of precision timing test systems. The new Femto 3200 doubles the input frequency and data rate and quadruples the available channel count of the original Femto 2000 systems and also enhances flexibility to measure both single-ended and differential signals on every channel. The Femto 3200 system was introduced to address the new wave of high-speed and differential signaling increasingly popular in serial I/O, Gigabit Ethernet, SONET and high-speed clock devices.

"Customers already convinced of the throughput and accuracy advantages of the original 8-channel, 800MHz Femto 2000 are now anxiously awaiting our new 3.2Gbps 32-channel Femto 3200," said Tammy Pelissier, Director of Marketing at GuideTech, "In addition to the higher channel count and frequency, the Femto 3200 answers customer requests for more powerful arming capability and programmable single-ended (SE) and differential (DF) measurements on every channel. We are pleased to offer this unique "one-config-fits-all" time measurement solution for ATE platforms that enables standardized configurations to address multiple product lines on any test floor."

This latest addition to GuideTech's growing list of innovative production test solutions confirms that GuideTech is following through with its promise to provide high-performance and cost-effective timing test solutions that help keep customers ahead of technology and cost curves. Powerful measurement arming flexibility includes arming off of independent external arming inputs, arming off of any of the 32 signal input channels and internal event count and time delay hold offs on measured signals when external arming at very high frequencies becomes challenging.

Demonstrations of the new Femto 3200 will be given at the ITC International Test Conference, Oct 30 - Nov 1, in booth # 2006. Visit www.itctestweek.org for ITC show details. To schedule a demo, contact Adi Merschon at GuideTech 408-733-6555 x 251.

About GuideTech

GuideTech, the leading innovator in high-performance timing measurement instruments, provides semiconductor manufacturers with the solutions they need to minimize timing-related component failure and to economize testing in production. Based on patented Time Interval Analyzer (TIA) technology, the company's Femto family of multi-channel timing test systems accomplishes this by dramatically improving test throughput via fast measurement rates and increased parallelism and by adding flexibility to perform critical timing tests such as random and deterministic jitter, inter- and intra-channel skew and rise/fall time on both single-ended and differential signals, on any channel, in production. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, and founded in 1988, the company is the first to deliver cost-effective, high-end timing measurement solutions that easily integrate onto any ATE platform.
